French casinos closed due to a trade union strike

(France).- French casinos should face a trade union strike in order to demand an increment in salaries and the withdrawal of a government project on the casino reform.

On December 31st, one of the most profitable days for casinos, trade unions showed its satisfaction for the continuation of the strike by the casino staff, while the companies played down the importance on the impact it generated.

Casino Trade Union had informed at the beginning of the day that at least four of the 190 casinos could close completely or partially due to the strike, to which the 17,000 employees of the sector were called.

Besides, a union leader indicated that at least five of the most important venues were closed and operations were altered in more than other 20.
