Quixant: "The Latin American market has a potential that cannot be ignored"

Quixant's participation at ICE London in February marked a high point of the year thus far for the company, not only because of the prestige of the expo – and the business opportunities that implies – but also due to the premiere of the new IQ 2 hardware platform at the show. For the first time, visitors were able to explore Quixant's complete Intel range and select the offering that best meets their needs.

Interest in this new product has done nothing but increase since then, with showcases at more industry events and sustained positive market feedback, including from LatAm jurisdictions. "The IQ 2 is especially suited to that market, as a cost-effective solution that does not compromise on the quality, performance and specialism that come when partnering with Quixant," Patricia Souto Rial – Vice President of Business Development - Spain/LatAm, tells Yogonet in this exclusive interview.

Quixant launched the IQ 2 hardware platform at ICE London earlier in the year. What are the main product features? What has the feedback on the IQ 2 been like since then?

The IQ 2 is our latest Intel-based hardware platform, providing a cost-effective yet powerful solution for price-sensitive markets. Designed to enhance gaming and sports betting experiences, it comes with Quixant’s market-leading Software Suite solutions. Powered by Intel 12th Generation Processors (Alder Lake N), the IQ 2 delivers fast memory access and twice the CPU performance when compared to previous generation products. 

The positive market feedback and high demand for samples we have received highlight its appeal and relevancy across global markets - including LatAm markets. As with all of our products, customers of the IQ 2 benefit from Quixant’s ongoing support and knowledge.

With global expertise and local knowledge, Quixant’s dedicated Spain and LatAm team are on hand to ensure a seamless integration for customers, and to enable their products to deliver ultimate results.

Which jurisdictions and types of customers do you expect to embrace this solution first? How is it relevant to the LatAm markets?

Like all of our hardware platforms, the IQ 2 is a globally compliant solution that meets the needs and requirements of all gaming markets and jurisdictions, including GLI-11.

Whilst a global business with operations and a customer base in EMEA, North America, LatAm and Asia, Quixant has localized business units. The LatAm markets are a key focus of the dedicated Spain and LatAm team and we understand the uniqueness and the particularities of the market, and we tailor our product mix, commercial offerings, supply chain, and support and operational structures, providing guidance and support throughout the customer journey to maximize the success of our customers in this region.

The IQ 2 is especially suited to the market, as a cost-effective solution that does not compromise on the quality, performance and specialism that come when partnering with Quixant. Equally, the uptake for the product has been extraordinary across all of the geographies. 

Quixant said that it has now completed its range of Intel-based products. Can you give us more information on this range?

Regardless of product, budget or market requirements, Quixant has a comprehensive range of hardware solutions that cover all gaming jurisdictions and applications. This includes:

  1. QMAX: Our high-end, Intel-based solution for organisations seeking top-tier performance.

  2. IQON 2: The mid-range offering which balances performance, and affordability.

  3. IQ 2: Our most cost-effective solution, delivering performance without compromising on quality.

All our platforms come with our powerful Software Suite solutions as standard. By entrusting Quixant with the hardware, customers can rest assured knowing their products will be as powerful and reliable as they need them to be.

Regulatory compliance, robust security systems and technology innovation are three key factors companies in the gaming industry must keep in mind when developing their solutions. How does Quixant approach them in its product portfolio?

Speaking of the LatAm market in particular, how different is this region from other jurisdictions where Quixant supplies its products, in terms of specific requirements, player preferences, etc.?

In our years of supporting the LatAm market, we have seen a clear unique set of challenges, including a diverse range of regulations, cultural nuances, and player preferences which set it apart from some of the other regions we operate in - such as EMEA and North America. 

Our role is to navigate these complexities and ensure that our products and wider offerings are tailored to this diversity and geared to enabling ultimate results. Our commitment to the Latam market extends beyond hardware; it encompasses cultural awareness, regulatory compliance, supply chain and operational expertise, as well as the development of strategic partnerships.

We have an established, specialized multilingual team (English, Portuguese, and Spanish) who have an in-depth understanding of the LatAm markets and collaborate closely with local players, operators, and stakeholders to tailor our offering effectively. We work in partnership with key organizations in the region with the goal of ensuring the ultimate player experience and focusing on enabling commercial success.

Whilst product requirements are key, providing suitable commercial terms for the region is equally pivotal. Our dedicated approach allows us to offer customized terms that benefit both parties, providing our customers the products they need, when they need them, in a market-appropriate offering.

Are there any specific markets Quixant is keeping a close eye on?

The Latin American market has a potential that cannot be ignored, in markets such as Colombia, Argentina, and Uruguay and in developing markets like Brazil. 

For years Brazil has seen neighbouring LatAm countries embrace the lucrative world of gaming and sports betting and as one of the world’s largest economies, it has always had the potential to become a major player in the international market. Now, with legislation approved, Brazil is poised to take centre stage in the thriving Latin American gaming and sports betting industry.

We will continue to keep close to the evolution of sports betting in Brazil – and other evolving LatAm markets – and will be ready when the market is, so our customers will be able to take advantage of our stock in-country as soon as they require it, so they can be the first to get to market - something we believe will give them a true advantage.
