It represents one of 11 awards categories comprising this year’s edition of Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100TM. On Nov. 15, Paysafe's Income Access also achieved a Bronze Stevie Award in the Women-Run Workplace of the Year (More than 10 Employees) category at the 16th annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business.

Tara Wilson, SVP and General Manager of Paysafe Group’s marketing technology and services provider Income Access, has been named one of Canada’s most powerful businesswomen in a list compiled by the Women’s Executive Network (WXN). The female business leaders making the list were invited to attend Thursday’s evening’s Top 100 Awards Gala at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre in Toronto.

WXN, which was founded in 1997 and released its inaugural Top 100 list in 2004, is a member of the PhaseNyne network of companies. A member-based organization, WXN is dedicated to the advancement, development and recognition of professional women in Canada.

Wilson was selected as one of the Mercedes-Benz Emerging Leaders, which represents one of 11 awards categories comprising this year’s edition of Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100TM. The Emerging Leaders category acknowledges women who are significant contributors within their organizations and have been targeted for successive leadership positions. Nominees were judged on a variety of criteria, including vision, authentic leadership, innovative thinking and recognition.

Prior to her appointment as SVP and General Manager at Income Access, Wilson served as Paysafe’s VP of Operations – Payment Processing (Canada and UK) from 2015 to 2017. In her current role, Wilson has been focused on streamlining the operations and processes of internal departments as well as growing Income Access’s global client base, and led the team to win the ‘Affiliate Software Supplier’ category at the 2019 EGR B2B Awards.

The accolade also comes just a few days after Income Access took home a Bronze Stevie Award in the Women-Run Workplace of the Year (More than 10 Employees) category at the 16th annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business, on November 15. Income Access was also honored at last year’s event, where Wilson won a 2018 Silver Stevie Award for Female Executive of the Year in Canada.

Commenting on the WXN recognition, Wilson said: “It’s both incredibly exciting and a tremendous honour to be included on a list that recognizes Canada’s top female business leaders. To be included in the Emerging Leaders category makes it that much more special as I have dedicated my career to bringing a bold yet considered approach to my leadership strategy and its vision.”

Lorenzo Pellegrino, CEO, Skrill, NETELLER and Income Access at Paysafe Group, said: “We’re all exceptionally proud of Tara for her inclusion on this list as well as for everything that she has accomplished in her career, especially as it relates to Income Access. While she has a bold vision for the future of the company, Tara is also able to effectively communicate and demonstrate leadership when engaging with individual team members.”
