Mexican ELA trade show inaugurates today its fifth edition

(Mexico, exclusive Banamex Center will open its doors today for the fifth edition of the Latin American Games of Chance exhibition (ELA). Expoazar, the organizing company of the event, informed that the exhibition space was completed several weeks ago. Besides, it communicated that the 100% of the visitors are professionals of the sector, and of that total, the 70% corresponds to top-managers with decision-power and purchase capacity.


LA counts with the approval of SEGOB through its General Games and Draw Direction. This support is reflected in the fact that Araceli Barroso Rodríguez, Assistant General Director of Games and Draws, will head the inaugural ceremony of the event. Besides, she will be in charge of the Master Conference of EY!2012 Encuentro Yogonet Mexico. The officer will participate on behalf of Obdulio Ávila Mayo, Undersecretary of Government.

“Counting with the government approval is very important for our event. It shows that they understand our policy of creating a meeting point in order to gather, for two days, businessmen, operators and manufacturers in favor of legality. Among the activities sheduled for today, Miguel Ángel Ochoa Sánchez, President of the Association of Licensees, Operators and Providers of the Entertainment and Gambling Industry in Mexico (AIEJA), will offer a press conference at 2 p.m.m at stand 63 of Bemex, one of its associated companies.

Spanish Zitro will have more exhibition space: 666 sqm distributed in a huge stand located at the entrance of the event, and another, auxiliar. WMS will exhibit its products together with Zitro. The second place belongs to the group of SPanish-Brazilian companies Ortiz Gaming / Eibe Games, with 504 sqm.

The third place is for Spanish R. Franco, with 288 sqm. “Mexico is one of the most important markets, both in America and worldwide. Not in vain it was one of the markets that released our company headed by our late President, Joaquín Franco”, told José Miguel Esteban, Marketing y and Communication Director of the company.

The fourth place in the ranking is for Brazilian FBM Gaming with 232 sqm, and in fifth place it is Brazilian firm Shock Machine, with 192 sqm. Other big booths have been hired by Merkur, Metronia/Bemex, Ludicus-Zest Gaming and Shuffle Master.

Within ELA event, it will be held the third edition of the series of conferences EY!2012 Encuentro Yogonet Mexico. “Present and future of gaming in Mexico”, “Slots: trends and new technologies” and "Current situation of the games and draws industry in Mexico”, will be the conferences of the first day.

Besides, Galindo commented: “Our aim is the same than any other exhibition: that buyers and sellers can have a place in which they can close their businesses. We bring the place and the organization that has been valued by the Association of Gaming Equipment Manufacturers (AGEM) with excellent qualifications”.

“One of our short-term goals is to attract the attention of US multi-nationals that participated in 2010 and we wish to be present in 2013. So far, I can anticípate that we have already had contacts which I value very positively”, he concluded.
