Juventus said that the agreement is the result of a new commercial strategy by the football club which seeks to maximise sponsorship revenues. As such, the club will have two shirt sponsors in the coming seasons, Betclic as the main sponsor for its home kit and a second sponsor for its away kit.
“In a very difficult economic context, we have identified an international partner of primary standing with which to put into practice an innovative commercial strategy which shares the rights of the first and the second jersey,” said Juventus President Jean-Claude Balnc.
Betclic’s logo will appear on the primary kit of Juventus in all national and international competitions from July 1st 2010 through to June 30th 2012 for an initial payment of 16 million euros and “a further amount” which will be determined by the clubs results.
