PokerTek begins PokerPro field trial with Atlantic Lottery Corporation

(US).- PokerTek informed about the start of a six-month pilot of PokerPro tables within two new Coasters locations after winning the RFP issued by the Atlantic Lottery Corporation (ALC).

oasters is a branded gaming center within a bar location, which also includes up to 25 Video Lottery Terminals alongside PRO LINE sports betting and other traditional lottery products. The first two trial sites are in New Brunswick at Legends Bar and Grille in Saint John and Dooly's Elmwood in Moncton. Both sites opened Friday, July 17th.

"ALC is committed to offering innovative and entertaining products to our players, all with a focus on social responsibility. The new Coasters locations are an example of this commitment," said Paul Burns, Category Manager for Atlantic Lottery. "We're proud of our Coasters locations, which will combine traditional lottery products, with video lottery and new social gaming products, like electronic poker."

"This pilot marks the first time PokerPro has been placed in a non-traditional gaming establishment, and the Coasters concept is an ideal fit for PokerPro," said Chris Manley, PokerTek's National Sales Manager. "We are honored to be a selected partner with ALC, and excited to bring poker to Atlantic Canada's poker players in this new and innovative setting."

Since 1976, Atlantic Lottery Corporation has managed the gaming business on behalf of the governments of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador and Prince Edward Island.
