AGEM press conference to release report on economic impact of global gaming suppliers

(US).- The Association of Gaming Equipment Manufacturers will present findings from an independent study on the economic impact its members have on the global gaming industry and the communities and markets they serve.

In this unprecedented media conference, industry leaders from AGEM, its member companies and the American Gaming Association (AGA) come together to release the findings, including forecasting future trends for the industry as a whole. The press conference is a must for every reporter in the industry, particularly in these times of financial and economic uncertainty.

It will be held November 19, 2:00 p.m. Among the statistics found in the report are: 57 % of member companies generated in excess of us$ 100 million in revenues annually. The average annual wage in the industry is us$ 67,100 annually, 34 % higher than the national average of us$ 50,200. It also affirms that the industry directly employs more than 28,000 workers. The report also contains vital information about: Economic output and impact, tax revenue generation, 2009 sales/revenue forecast.
