Torbjørn Almlid

Norsk Tipping appointed new CEO

(Sweden).- The Board of Directors of Norsk Tipping appointed Torbjorn Almlid as new Chief Executive Officer of the company. Almlid leaves his position as CEO of Sykehuset Innlandet to join the company.

“I view the opportunity to lead Norsk Tipping AS as an exciting and challenging task”, says Torbjørn Almlid. He is dedicated to ensuring that Norsk Tipping’s social responsibilities and services are performed in a conscientious manner.

“It is vital to succeed in maintaining the crucial balance between commercial success and social responsibility – this is the whole basis for Norsk Tipping’s monopoly. With many of Norway’s best-known and highly popular products, the company ensures that good social causes receive major contributions year after year, without creating major social problems. It’s precisely this multiplicity that makes this job both unique and challenging. Norsk Tipping is well known for the high level of expertise amongst its employees and not least its enviable reputation. This provides an excellent platform for our continued success in the future”, says Almlid.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Norsk Tipping AS, Sigbjørn Johnsen, is very pleased that Almlid has accepted the post as CEO: “Torbjørn Almlid has all the qualifications necessary to successfully lead Norsk Tipping through the challenges we will doubtless face in the years ahead. He is an excellent leader, and has the ability to create space for development and growth within the framework in which the company operates. The Board of Directors is therefore both satisfied and delighted that Almlid has accepted the post”, says Johnsen.
