ENG is developing and producing these new products through cooperation with Song Yung Electro-Optics, a Taiwan-based maker of gaming machines in which ENG acquired a 55% stake in October 2007, according to ENG chairman Cheng-ta Tsai.
The company recently unveiled its Winner interactive gaming machine that features a 32-bit design, use of SD cards, 2D/3D support as well as Karaoke and digital photo frame functionalities in addition to gaming. Winner is expected to generate revenues of more than us$ 30.8 million on sales of over 300,000 units in 2008, Tsai indicated.
ENG just received its first order for 500 photo-printing kiosks and will begin shipments in the first quarter of 2008, Tsai noted. A second order for 1,500 units will be settled soon, Tsai added.
Capitalizing on Song Yung’s client base, ENG shipped Easy One, a medium-sized casino machine, for the first time to Italy in December 2007, Tsai pointed out. In 2008, the total revenues and profits from sales of these new products may exceed that for power supplies and other established products, Tsai indicated.
