Pragmatic Play has released a new live casino game, Seotda Baccarat, combining traditional baccarat gameplay with Korean Seotda card mechanics.

The new title is played using a 20-card Hwatu deck, where each card represents a month from January to October and carries an assigned point value. Players aim to predict whether the player or banker will be dealt the higher-scoring two-card hand. Unlike classic baccarat, the game removes the third-card draw rule, resulting in a faster-paced format.

Seotda Baccarat introduces three special “Bright” cards, which hold the highest value in the deck. These cards are also central to optional side bets, offering increased payout potential compared to standard baccarat outcomes.

The release is positioned as both culturally inspired and accessible, designed to appeal to players familiar with either baccarat or Seotda while introducing additional strategic elements through its hybrid structure.

The launch continues Pragmatic Play’s recent expansion of its live casino offering, following the release of Gates of Olympus Roulette earlier in April.

"Seotda Baccarat brings together two popular card games in a way that feels fresh and authentic," said Sharon McHugh, Director of Public Relations at Pragmatic Play. "By combining the vibrant Hwatu deck with familiar baccarat betting mechanics, this release gives casinos a first-of-its-kind live casino experience designed to elevate their live lobbies. And, by the way, it's pronounced soo-da!"
