Global online casino and sportsbook operator Stake has officially launched its online casino and sportsbook in Mexico, expanding its presence in Latin America.
The launch brings Stake’s betting and casino services into one of Latin America’s fastest-growing online gambling markets. Through stake.mx, the company is offering its global platform to users in Mexico, with a mobile-focused design, updated technology, and a broad selection of games adapted to local preferences.
Mexico’s strong sports betting culture, high mobile usage, and increasing digital adoption make it a strategic market for expansion, said Stake. The move also strengthens the company’s regional presence, following its growth in countries such as Peru and Colombia.
Stake will operate under a permit-based system regulated by Mexico’s Ministry of the Interior, SEGOB, through an agreement with Uno Capali. This structure allows the company to meet local compliance requirements while building a scalable presence in the country.
The launch comes ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which Mexico will co-host with the United States and Canada. The upcoming global event is expected to drive increased engagement in sports betting and related digital services.
"Mexico is an important and exciting market for us – one that combines strong underlying growth with a deep cultural connection to sport, which aligns perfectly with what Stake is built for,” said Stake Director Jarrod Febbraio. "We've built significant momentum across Latin America in recent years, including in markets such as Peru and Colombia, and Mexico represents a natural next step given its scale and long-term potential.”
He added that entering the market ahead of the World Cup positions the company to expand its brand and customer base during one of the world’s largest sporting events. "With Mexico set to co-host the 2026 football World Cup tournament, the timing of this launch reflects our ability to move with precision into high-value markets at the right moment," Febbraio added.
