Ainsworth Game Technology has appointed Matt Smith as Vice President of Marketing and Product Strategy, as the gaming supplier looks to strengthen its leadership team in North America.
Smith brings more than a decade of experience in the gaming industry and will lead the company’s marketing and product strategy initiatives in the region, with a focus on expanding the Ainsworth brand and delivering new gaming products.
He joins Ainsworth from International Game Technology, where he spent eight years, most recently serving as Director of Premium Product Management. In that role, he helped develop and launch premium gaming products aimed at casino operators and players.
Prior to that, Smith held various roles in the slot department at the Bellagio and other properties operated by MGM Resorts International, gaining experience in casino operations and player engagement.
In his new role, Smith will oversee marketing and product strategy efforts across North America, a key market for the company.
