Ocean Casino Resort opened Ocean’s 18 Mini Golf & Bar on January 17, the first mini golf course inside an Atlantic City casino.

Located on the Casino Level next to LaScala’s Fire, the 8,000-square-foot venue has two nine-hole mini golf courses and a full-service bar. It is open Wednesday through Monday, welcoming all ages during the day and switching to a 21+ sports bar after 9 p.m. The bar features large TVs and a cocktail menu with signature drinks like the Jaws 18 martini and Pineapple Par, plus seasonal cocktails and frozen granitas.

The venue incorporates advanced hologram technology developed by HYPERVSN, the same company behind the holograms used at The Sphere in Las Vegas. Guests are greeted by Ava the Avatar, a virtual human hologram that welcomes visitors, answers questions, and encourages participation in the venue’s signature Challenge Hole. Ava is multilingual, speaking more than 15 languages.

Ocean’s 18 also features a 12-foot holographic Great White Shark above the main bar, billed as the largest hologram ever installed in a mini golf course or casino worldwide. It also offers QR code scorecards and a real-time leaderboard that tracks guest rankings throughout the day.

The venue can host private and corporate events, with customizable holograms and catering options.

The grand opening celebration featured a special appearance by actor Christopher McDonald, best known as “Shooter McGavin” from Happy Gilmore and for his role on HBO Max’s Hacks. McDonald participated in a ribbon-cutting ceremony, mingled with guests, and took a few swings on the course. MTV Jersey Shore stars Sammi Giancola (“Sammi Sweetheart”) and Jenni Farley (“JWoww”) also attended the event, trying out the new attraction. Ocean’s 18 is located on the Casino Level next to LaScala’s Fire and includes a full-service bar.

"By combining the nostalgia of mini golf with cutting-edge technology, a vibrant bar scene, and our unmatched entertainment offerings, Ocean's 18 adds an entirely new dimension to the guest experience and reinforces Ocean as a must-visit destination in Atlantic City,” said Bill Callahan, General Manager of Ocean Casino Resort.

Mark Benevento, Owner and Operator of Ocean’s 18 Mini Golf & Bar, said the venue redefines entertainment in Atlantic City. "With immersive technology, a multilingual avatar, and a nostalgia-driven design, it blends Jersey Shore culture and innovation into a one-of-a-kind experience anyone can enjoy."

The resort plans a “Stay and Play” hotel package later this year for golfers in the Northeast.

Ocean’s 18 Mini Golf & Bar is now open to the public.
