Birgit Wimmer appointed chairwoman of NOVOMATIC AG Supervisory Board

Birgit Wimmer, MSc., MBA, has been appointed to the Supervisory Board of NOVOMATIC AG at the company’s General Meeting and elected Chairwoman at its constitutive meeting.

She succeeds Dr. Bernd Oswald, who served on the Supervisory Board for around ten years and will assume another position within the NOVOMATIC group.

A co-shareholder of NOVOMATIC AG, Wimmer has held senior governance roles within the group’s holding companies for many years. Her experience includes serving as a Non-Executive Member of the Board of Directors of Swiss holding companies and as Managing Director of NOVO Invest GmbH. She brings extensive investment, management, and banking expertise.

“As Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board, I look forward to working together with my colleagues on both the Supervisory Board and the Executive Board as we help to successfully shape the group’s strategic and sustainable development,” said Wimmer.

The Supervisory Board also elected Dr. Haig Asenbauer as Deputy Chairman. Asenbauer, an internationally experienced lawyer, specializes in cross-border M&A, corporate reorganizations, and complex investment structures.

Meanwhile, Martina Flitsch and Dr. Robert Hofians continue as members of the Supervisory Board. Flitsch has extensive experience in international group structures and corporate investment support, while Hofians is a finance and capital markets expert with a strong background in governance and regulation.

The new composition of the Supervisory Board of NOVOMATIC AG has been in effect since January 1, 2026.
