Northern Edge Navajo Casino in Upper Fruitland near Farmington, New Mexico, is celebrating 14 years of operation on January 16 with giveaways, games, and cash prizes.

The celebration is scheduled for January 16, with festivities running throughout the day. Guests who qualify can receive an anniversary T-shirt and participate in the Kiosk Game from 12:00 p.m. to 8:10 p.m. for chances to win free play, points, or food vouchers.

The day will culminate with cash drawings at 8:15 p.m., where 14 winners will receive $1,400 each (must be present to win). Food, beverage, and entertainment specials will also be offered throughout the day, including a live performance by DJ E.S.S. from 8:00 p.m. to midnight (21+, no cover).

Since opening on January 16, 2012, Northern Edge Navajo Casino has become a staple of the Four Corners region, nestled between Mount Blanca, Mount Taylor, Mount Hesperus, and the San Francisco Peaks. The casino offers multiple dining options—including the recently renovated Cedar Bow Restaurant—alongside slots, table games, a poker room, and live weekend entertainment. Its award-winning architecture blends traditional Navajo symbolism with modern design.

Over the past 14 years, Northern Edge Navajo Casino has reached several significant milestones. It became the third Navajo casino to open and now employs nearly 300 staff, 86% of whom are Navajo.

The casino actively sponsors and supports numerous community and cultural events while providing thousands of dollars in business to Navajo and local vendors, including farmers, ranchers, artisans, and musicians. Northern Edge also introduced the Navajo Ten Tournaments, a popular card game within the Navajo Nation.
