Ontario’s regulated iGaming market recorded its strongest month to date in October, setting new highs for both wagering activity and revenue, according to figures released by iGaming Ontario.
Player spending reached CA$9.25 billion ($6.56 billion) during the month, marking an 8 percent increase from September’s previous record of CA$8.55 billion ($6 billion). The latest total was also 24% higher than the figure reported in October last year.
Online casino games continued to dominate the market, accounting for CA$7.89 billion ($5.62 billion) of total wagers, or about 85 percent of all activity. Internet sports betting generated CA$1.23 billion ($880 million) in wagers, representing 13% of the market and a 16% rise from September. Online poker saw a decline in monthly spending, with wagers slipping 9 percent to CA$131 million ($93.28 million).
Revenue also climbed to new heights. Non-adjusted gross revenue reached CA$367.7 million ($261.82 million) in October, surpassing the previous peak of CA$338 million ($240.67 million) set in May 2025. The figure was 12% higher than September and 38% above the level reported a year earlier.
Online casino operations contributed CA$303.8 million ($216.32 million) in revenue, up 9% month-on-month. Sports betting revenue rose 25%, while online poker revenue increased 10% to CA$5.6 million ($3.99 million) despite the decrease in wagering.
The province recorded 1.3 million active player accounts in October, a 9% rise from the prior month. Average revenue per active account reached CA$286 ($203.65), an increase of 2%.
Major operators such as FanDuel, BetMGM, Bet365, and BetRivers continue to serve Ontario’s iGaming market, which remains one of the most active regulated jurisdictions in North America.
