Sportsbook solution supplier DATA.BET reported a 79% increase in total profit from eSports betting in the third quarter of 2025 compared to the same period last year.
The growth was supported by a 60% rise in stake volume and a 12% improvement in margin efficiency.

Player activity also accelerated. The total number of placed bets increased by 33%, with multiples up 53%. The active player base more than doubled, growing 126%, and the average bet size rose by 22%, signaling stronger user confidence and deeper involvement.

Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) maintained its lead as the top discipline, posting a 26.7% increase in turnover, a 55% rise in profit, and a modest 2.5% uptick in total bets.

League of Legends delivered one of the strongest performances of the quarter, climbing from fourth to second place in popularity. The title saw turnover jump 290%, profit grow 416%, and total bets increase 221%, outpacing Dota 2.

Rainbow Six also strengthened its position within the top five disciplines. Expanded coverage and deeper reach in Latin America contributed to a 126% increase in turnover, a 504% spike in profit, a 12.4% rise in bets placed, and a doubling of match coverage.

Bohdan Holovnov, Head of eSports at DATA.BET, attributed the positive results to targeted product and trading upgrades aligned with user behavior. "We focused on improving uptime for the most popular in-play markets, including 'Map - Total Kills’, ‘Map - Duration’, ‘Map - Winner’, and ‘Player - Total Deaths‘, especially in late-game phases where engagement peaks,” he said.

He added that enhancements spanned both shooter and MOBA titles. “Interval-based kill markets were introduced in League of Legends and Dota 2, enabling more frequent and dynamic betting opportunities,” said Holovnov. “Another major driver was the expansion of Player Props across all top-tier disciplines, including CS2, Dota 2, League of Legends, and Valorant, in both pre-match and live formats."

In shooters, ‘Total Deaths’ became a standout exclusive market, while official data coverage allowed the company to expand Player Props across all tiers as well. This combination boosted both activity and margin efficiency across clients.

Quarter-to-quarter performance also improved, with profit up 13% from Q2 2025. Holovnov said the results confirm eSports as a reliable betting vertical, with consistent engagement, rising turnover, and growing operator revenue
