Playson debuts new mechanic in Paddy Star: Smash and Win slot

iGaming supplier Playson has launched Paddy Star: Smash and Win, its latest title, introducing the new "Smash and Win" feature, designed to improve engagement and retention. The unique mechanic was developed based on data-driven insights.

The “Smash and Win” feature activates when the leprechaun Wild symbol appears together with any Bonus or Jackpot icon. When triggered, it unlocks the values of those symbols and adds them to the winning spin in the Main Game or to the total win during Free Spins.

In addition to this mechanic, the game includes three randomly triggered Special Features—Paddy Spin, Jackpot Nudge, and Wild Nudge. Paddy Spin guarantees Wild and Bonus symbols on a spin. Jackpot Nudge rewinds a random number of icons to reveal Jackpot symbols when the Wild lands on the central reel, while Wild Nudge adjusts the center cell of the third reel to display a Wild symbol.

Above the reels, animated Piggy Banks collect coins from the Wild symbol during both the Main Game and Free Spins. Each Piggy Bank can activate six Free Spins, or a total of 12 if both are triggered simultaneously. The Free Spins feature can retrigger during play.

The slot includes four in-game Jackpots—Mini (10x), Minor, Major, and Grand (1,000x)—available only through the “Smash and Win” feature. The title has medium-high volatility and a maximum win potential of 2,129x.
