Pennsylvania's Happy Valley Casino has released details of its table games as developers aim for an April 2026 opening at the Nittany Mall.

The casino plans to offer 30 initial table games, including 16 blackjack tables, three roulette tables, and two each for craps, mini baccarat, and Ultimate Texas Hold’em, according to a July filing with the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board. Single tables will also feature Spanish 21, three-card poker, face-up pai gow poker, Mississippi stud, and pai gow poker, reports Centre Daily News.

The board’s prosecutorial arm indicated in a filing last month that it had no objections to the casino’s certification request, provided a dozen conditions are met. It remains unclear when the board will consider approval, with its next meeting scheduled for Sept. 24.

If approved, developers would be required to pay a $2.5 million authorization fee within five business days and complete board-approved testing and inspections of table games, along with operational, security, and staffing plans. After the first year of operation, the casino could seek to add up to 10 additional table games.

Construction on the $120 million project began in mid-March. In addition to table games, the 24/7, nonsmoking casino will feature 750 slot machines, a sports betting area, a sports-themed restaurant, a bar, and at least one quick-service dining option. The project is expected to create roughly 350 full-time equivalent jobs.

Earlier this year, developers signed a framework agreement with Saratoga Casino Holdings, a New York-based company that would hold a majority stake in the project if state regulators approve the deal.

Supporters cite economic benefits, while opponents raise concerns over gambling addiction and local resource strain.
