Online gaming company FanDuel announced on Wednesday the appointment of Keith Whyte as a strategic advisor for responsible gaming, as September marks Responsible Gaming Education Month.
Whyte, founder and president of Safer Gambling Strategies LLC, will advise on the company’s responsible gaming strategy, identify new opportunities for advocacy, and support partnerships and events aimed at promoting safer play.
He will also contribute to FanDuel’s “Trusted Voices: Conversations About Betting” program, launched in 2024 with EPIC Global Solutions and company ambassadors, to help parents, guardians and coaches talk with young people about gambling risks and where to seek support.
Whyte brings more than three decades of experience in problem gambling prevention, including over 25 years as executive director of the National Council on Problem Gambling.
“We are honored to have Keith Whyte join our team as a strategic advisor for our responsible gaming programming,” said Cory Fox, FanDuel’s senior vice president for public policy and sustainability. "At FanDuel, we are committed to elevating the industry standard for Responsible Gaming."
"We're excited to welcome Keith to our Responsible Gaming team and are confident his experience and subject matter knowledge will further strengthen our leadership in this space," Fox added.
“FanDuel has consistently demonstrated industry-leading commitment to responsible gaming,” Whyte said. "I'm thrilled to join the team and contribute my experience to further advancing FanDuel's efforts in promoting safe and responsible play."
