SBC’s flagship global industry event, the SBC Summit, is set to return to Lisbon from September 16 to 18, where 30,000 stakeholders from the betting and gaming sectors will gather for three days of panels, debates, and exhibitions.

The summit aims to create a central meeting point for an industry that continues to evolve rapidly amid changing player behavior, expanding regulated markets, and new technologies.

The show's conference program will feature an extensive agenda covering technology, affiliation, player protection, global and emerging markets, and future-facing topics on its Super Stage. Organizers say the event is designed to provide insight into innovations, operational strategies, and the challenges posed by new regulations and technology.

The opening day will see the Super CEO Panel: The Present and Future of Gambling, held on September 16 from 11:15 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on the Super Stage.

Bringing together Dan Taylor, CEO International at Flutter; Neil Menashe, CEO of Super Group; Jesper Svensson, CEO of Betsson Group; Joanne Whittaker, CEO of Betfred; and Dinos Stramititis, COO of Altenar, the panel will explore forces shaping the global market, the impact of regulatory reform, digital innovation, and the role of emerging technologies like AI and Web 3.0.

Speakers will also debate the balance between regulation and competitiveness, future models for player protection, and how operators can prepare for the next decade.

On the same day, the focus will shift to financial innovation with Payments 2030: Where Could New Tech Take the Industry in 5 Years? scheduled for 12:00 to 12:40 p.m. on Stage Three.

Topics will include AI-driven fraud detection, biometric authentication, blockchain, instant payouts, open banking, and how operators can adapt payment strategies to changing regulations and rising customer expectations. Panelists include Christian Reinheimer, Group Director Payments Product at LeoVegas Group; Ludiara Sousa, Head of Payments at Blaze; John Parsons, CBDO Gaming at Trustly; and Rahul Das, Head of Payments at Dafabet.

Day two, September 17, will spotlight affiliate marketing in a session titled The Future of Affiliation: Reinvention, Resilience, and Relevance, running from 12:00 to 12:40 p.m. on Stage Four. The panel will consider how new technologies, stricter regulation, and changes in acquisition strategies are forcing affiliates to adapt.

Speakers include John Wright, CEO of Statsdrone; Andre Machado, Chief Commercial Officer of Clever Advertising; and Jonathan Edelshaim, CEO of Natural Intelligence.

That same afternoon, The Future of Bet Builders – Risk, Rewards & Tech Evolution will take place from 4:50 to 5:30 p.m. on Stage Three. With Bet Builders now a core feature of sports betting platforms, panelists will discuss how operators can manage risk and margins while innovating to meet demand.

On the final day, September 18, the agenda turns to responsible gaming with Right Tech, Right Time: Monitoring Player Habits with Next-Gen Technology, running from 12:00 to 12:45 p.m. on Stage Five.

This panel will explore how predictive analytics, AI, and real-time monitoring are being used to identify and mitigate harmful play patterns. Speakers include Savvas Iliopoulos, Responsible Gaming & Player Protection Expert at OPAP SA; Conrado Caon, Commercial Director at PayMee; and Iris Den Boer, Consultant at Deal Me Out.

The Lisbon summit will also feature sessions on regulation in emerging markets, global strategic planning, gamification, and platform design.
