California's Tule River Tribe and Eagle Mountain Casino have officially broken ground on phase 2 of a resort and hotel expansion adjacent to the existing casino property off Highway 65, next to the Porterville Fairgrounds.
The ceremonial event featured speeches from the Tule River Tribal Council and tribal elders, cultural performances, and the unveiling of the resort’s updated logo and new architectural renderings, offering the first public glimpse of what’s to come.

Tutor Perini Corporation announced that its subsidiary, Tutor Perini Building Corp., has been awarded the construction contract for the expansion project. Valued at approximately $220 million, the contract was awarded by the Tule River Gaming Authority.
The expansion will be led by a project team that includes Connect Advisors, acting as the owner’s representative, in close collaboration with HBG Design. The team aims to deliver a world-class hospitality destination that reflects the Tule River Tribe’s long-term vision for growth and community development.

Phase 2 will include the construction of a new 193-room hotel tower featuring a rooftop restaurant, a central warehouse and administrative offices, expansion of an existing restaurant, and a new 2,000-seat event center with convention facilities. Additional amenities will include a resort-style pool, spa, arcade, and flexible meeting and pre-function spaces.
Construction is slated to begin this summer, with substantial completion expected by 2027.
