Rossi McKee, majority owner of Telematic Interactive, urged the gaming industry to modernize its approach to player protection during a keynote panel at the iGaming Business Zone conference in Ibiza.

Speaking on the panel “Personal Limits, Shared Responsibility: Rethinking Player Self-Exclusion,” McKee called for a shift from reactive measures to proactive, personalized solutions supported by technology.

"We must move beyond reactive measures and outdated tools," she said. "Responsible gaming is not about restriction - it's about empowerment and sustainability."

It's time for the industry to act along with the regulatory bodies in different jurisdictions to create a better environment and a personal technology-driven assistant for customised player protection by using AI as well," McKee added.

McKee cited Telematic Interactive’s experience in Bulgaria, including behavioural monitoring, cooling-off periods, and personal limit settings.

She also advocated for wider adoption of predictive AI systems, shared exclusion registers, biometric identification, and emotionally attuned onboarding processes to support players from the start.

Her remarks positioned Telematic Interactive as a key player in advancing responsible gaming in Europe, with the iGaming Business Zone conference providing an influential platform for global industry dialogue.
