iGaming content provider Pragmatic Play has launched Penalty Shootout Live!, an enhanced sequel to Penalty Shootout, expanding the company's presence and lineup of content for the Virtual Sports segment.
The new title builds on the supplier’s earlier Penalty Shootout release, delivering a football gaming experience that seeks to mimic the intensity of real-life penalty shootouts. Players can wager on exact shot locations, goalkeeper saves, and goal outcomes through a dynamic interface that refreshes with a new live shootout every three minutes.
“Featuring a new match every three minutes, 25 bet spots per penalty, and six penalties per match, Penalty Shootout Live! is an action-packed addition to Pragmatic Play's Virtual Sports portfolio,” said Irina Cornides, Chief Operating Officer at Pragmatic Play.
The game is rendered in HTML5 and optimized for both desktop and mobile devices, offering 15-second betting intervals between kicks. It includes live commentary and a user-friendly interface to heighten engagement.
The launch comes as Pragmatic Play continues to scale its Virtual Sports offering, which includes titles like Horse Racing and Greyhound Racing. The portfolio features 24/7 availability, a real-time physics engine, and advanced 3D graphics.
The company has positioned the new release as part of a broader push to offer “unmatched realism and excitement” in virtual betting environments.
