Lucky BetMGM Ontario player wins two progressive slot jackpots in one week

A lucky BetMGM player in Ontario has made history by winning two progressive slot jackpots in one week, the online gaming brand has confirmed. 

The first jackpot win took place on April 21, 2025, when the unnamed player won a record-breaking CAD 1.6 million (US$1.2 million). A week later, on April 27, 2025, the same Ontario player won a second jackpot of CAD 417,377 (US$302,893).

The jackpots were hit at the online BetMGM Casino in Ontario. The lucky winner was playing MGM Grand Millions in the two cases, a BetMGM exclusive slot game available only at BetMGM Casino platforms in Ontario. 

The record-breaking CAD 1.6 million progressive jackpot was won on a $20 spin, while the $417,377 jackpot, taking place a mere six days later, was won on a $15 spin. The first win is the largest progressive jackpot ever awarded by BetMGM in Ontario. 

MGM Grand Millions is a part of BetMGM's progressive jackpot network and was developed in-house by BetMGM's co-parent company Entain. Following the win, the jackpot pool reset and is now over $717,747 and grows each time the game is played, but the jackpot is not won.

BetMGM Casino's progressive jackpot pool consists of exclusive in-house produced games by Entain, including popular titles such as MGM Grand Millions, Bison Fury, and 15 Lanterns. BetMGM awarded CAD 14 million (US$10.2 million) in progressive jackpot payouts to BetMGM Casino players in Ontario throughout 2024.
