The Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) has issued cease-and-desist orders to 14 online gambling operators found to be illegally offering internet gaming and sports betting to Michigan residents without state authorization.

The enforcement action targets offshore platforms including BetFlip, BetMania, Casino Castle, Casino Extreme, Casobet Casino, EmuCasino, Golden Lion, Gossip Slots, Irish Luck Casino, Juicy Stakes.com, Juicy Stakes.eu, Lotus Asia Casino, Red Lion Casino, and SlotGems Casino. These sites were identified as conducting unlicensed gaming operations in direct violation of Michigan’s regulatory framework.

These sites operate in the shadows of the law, offering no guarantees to players and no accountability to the public,” said MGCB Executive Director Henry Williams.

The MGCB’s enforcement efforts are both relentless and unwavering. We will continue to identify and take action against illegal gambling operations that threaten the integrity of our regulated market and place Michigan residents at risk.”

According to the MGCB, the operators offered various online gambling products, including casino games and sports wagering, while lacking the licenses required under the Lawful Internet Gaming Act, the Michigan Gaming Control and Revenue Act, and the Michigan Penal Code.

Unregulated platforms not only violate state laws but also pose significant risks to consumers. The MGCB warned that users of these websites face exposure to fraudulent practices, unreliable payouts, and the absence of regulatory oversight, such as responsible gaming tools or complaint resolution mechanisms.

Each operator has been ordered to halt all gambling activities involving Michigan residents. They have 14 days to comply or face further legal consequences, potentially including action by the Michigan Department of Attorney General.

The state’s gaming board is continuing its monitoring efforts and urges the public to report any information related to illegal gambling. Residents can submit tips anonymously via the state’s dedicated hotline or email address.
