This year’s Global Gaming Expo (G2E) Asia and the Asian IR Expo are set to open in Macao next week, marking what organizers say will be their most expansive edition yet, with over 100 exclusive product launches, keynotes from industry leaders Francis Lui and Ed Bowers, and a growing spotlight on non-gaming resort innovation.

The two co-located events will run from 7 to 9 May at The Venetian Macao, while the associated Asian IR Summit will open a day earlier, on 6 May, at the Galaxy International Convention Centre.

Organized by RX and presented in partnership with the American Gaming Association, the three-day program aims to capture the full breadth of the Asia-Pacific gaming and integrated resort (IR) sectors.

Organizers expect more than 10,000 visitors from 80 countries, nearly doubling last year’s attendance. Over 150 companies will exhibit across the two events, with G2E Asia hosting about 90 exhibitors focused on gaming technology and regulation, and the Asian IR Expo featuring over 60 organizations spotlighting hospitality, entertainment, and smart resort infrastructure.

The conference schedule is headlined by keynote speeches from Galaxy Entertainment Group Chairman Francis Lui and MGM Resorts International’s President of Global Development Ed Bowers.

Bowers, who leads the MGM Osaka project, will also take part in a high-level panel discussing the future of gaming in emerging Asian jurisdictions, including Thailand. Other speakers include Frederic Gushin of Spectrum Gaming Group, analyst Vitaly Umansky, and Morgan Stanley’s Praveen Choudhary.

Among the themes covered across the three events are trends in electronic gaming machines (EGMs), compliance and anti-money laundering practices, table game innovation, and regional developments in responsible gaming.

The Asian IR Summit, meanwhile, will address the diversification of integrated resorts beyond gaming. This includes technology adoption in hospitality, digital marketing strategies, and a full-day focus on “sportainment” and positioning Macau as a regional sports and entertainment capital.

This year’s program will also feature the G2E Asia Awards in five categories, the launch of the Gaming Innovation Forum inside the exhibition hall, and the debut of a Smart Hospitality Technology Experience Zone focused on AI-driven solutions for resort operations. More than 400 pre-scheduled meetings are expected to take place through dedicated matchmaking initiatives.
