Caesars Entertainment has successfully integrated pari-mutuel horse race wagering into the Caesars Sportsbook app in two U.S. jurisdictions. Coming ahead of this year's Kentucky Derby, the move is set to provide bettors in Kentucky and Colorado single-account horse racing and sports wagering with live streaming video.
Users in these two states can now toggle between sports betting on the Caesars Sportsbook app and the Caesars Racebook wagering interface, powered by NYRA Bets. The shared wallet experience is also tied to the company's loyalty program, Caesars Rewards, allowing customers to earn Rewards Credits and Tier Credits for every wager.
“Integrating pari-mutuel horse racing into the Caesars Sportsbook app is a significant milestone for both our digital business and the sport of horse racing. Our customers will be able to bet on horse racing, whether it’s the sport’s biggest events or daily races from tracks around the world,” said Dan Shapiro, Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer at Caesars Digital.
"Now, our product seamlessly puts the action directly in front of an expanded audience and reinforces Caesars’ commitment to horse racing. We look forward to continuing our work with the New York Racing Association and NYRA Bets to expand the availability across more states as we gain regulatory approvals.”
“Horse racing plays an important role in the betting marketplace, and we appreciate Caesars’ longstanding commitment to elevating the sport and growing fan engagement,” said Tony Allevato, President of NYRA Bets.
“Launching the shared wallet functionality allows Caesars Sportsbook to provide its large customer base with premier racing content through a comprehensive and easy-to-access wagering menu. We congratulate Caesars on their successful expansion.”
Caesars’ horse racing product also features livestreaming of races from more than 300 racetracks around the world, in addition to races at Caesars Sportsbook partner racetracks Del Mar, Monmouth Park, Keeneland, and Red Mile.
Streaming is also available from Aqueduct, Saratoga Race Course, Gulfstream Park, and Santa Anita, as well as Caesars-operated tracks at Harrah’s Hoosier Park, Horseshoe Indianapolis, Harrah’s Philadelphia, and Eldorado Gaming Scioto Downs. Users can also access racing statistics and handicapping data from within the app.
Caesars is the presenting sponsor of the National Horseplayers Championship, hosted annually at Horseshoe Las Vegas, and operates horse racing tracks at Harrah’s Columbus, Harrah’s Hoosier Park, Horseshoe Indianapolis, Harrah’s Philadelphia, and Eldorado Gaming Scioto Downs.
The Caesars Racebook standalone app remains available for download on iOS, Android and desktop in 20 other U.S. states, including California, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Montana, New York, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia and Wyoming.
