Online sportsbook Betway has become the official betting partner of the National Bank Open presented by Rogers in Toronto, adding another significant sports event to its array of global tennis sponsorships.

Scheduled to take place from August 5 to 13, the 2023 edition of the ATP Masters 1000 tournament will be held at the Sobeys Stadium. The tournament's final match will take place on Centre Court, which boasts a capacity of 10,800 spectators.

Under the terms of the multi-year agreement, the brand has secured prominent courtside visibility, occupying the backwall surrounding the Sobeys Stadium complex for the entire duration of the eight-day event.

Adding to our enviable portfolio of tennis sponsorships globally, we’re delighted to welcome the National Bank Open to the Betway family. This competition is steeped in history and is a firm favorite for tennis fans, so we’re obviously very excited to be a partner as we continue to be known as the number one betting brand within tennis,” Anthony Werkman, CEO of Betway Group, said.

Since 1881, some of the best players of the game, including legends like Bjorn Borg, Ivan Lendl, John McEnroe, Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and four-time winner Novak Djokovic, have participated in the tournament. In the upcoming event, the newly crowned Wimbledon champion, Carlos Alcaraz, will make his debut during the night session on Wednesday, August 9.

“We are delighted to partner with Betway and welcome them to our incredible group of corporate partners. We look forward to working closely with them as part of this multi-year agreement as we deliver an exceptional event for our fans,” Rob Swann, Chief Commercial Officer, Tennis Canada, said.

Betway has forged partnerships with 12 tournaments on the ATP Tour, including the Miami Open, Rio Open, and Hamburg European Open, aiming to strengthen its ties within the tennis community.

In addition to tennis, the Super Group-owned brand has established a portfolio of sponsorships across various sports and teams including partnerships in the Premier League, La Liga, cricket, as well as in the NBA and NHL within the United States.

Most recently, Betway acted as an official partner of the new Major League Cricket (MLC) tournament. The move aimed to further enhance the Super Group's brand presence in the sport of cricket, which is now targeting a new audience in the United States.
