The UKGC is investigating a suspected breach of the operator's license conditions. The license suspension is effective from July 2. PlayerFT is the operator for Fiveyards, a London-based company acting as a virtual football transfer market.

The UK Gambling Commission (UKGC) announced last Friday it has started a review on PlayerFT Limited, and decided to suspend its operating license with immediate effect pending the conclusion of the review.

The regulator stated that it had suspended the operator’s license due to concerns that the operator may have breached its license terms and failed to comply with the standards expected of the business.

The operator also failed to integrate with the national multi-operator self-exclusion scheme, GAMSTOP. Integration with Gamstop has been mandatory for all GB licensees since March 31, 2020.

The license suspension is effective from July 2, however, customers can still access their accounts and withdraw funds.

“We have made it clear to the operator that during the course of the suspension, we expect it to focus on treating consumers fairly and keeping them fully informed of any developments which impact them,” the commission stated.
