On Wednesday, Nevada regulators also approved wagers on 2020 League of Legends European Masters, expanding the esports betting menu that now includes Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Dota 2, iRacing and Overwatch.

The Nevada Gaming Control Board issued a notice of approval Thursday permitting sportsbooks to offer wagers on the 2020 Call of Duty League and Women’s National Basketball Association draft. Through this exemption, the state’s licensed bookmakers are authorised to post and accept bets on both events’ matches through the end of the year.

In accordance with the Control Board’s notice, licensees may offer the following wager types on Call of Duty League: head to head, match winner, and overall winner. On March 12, the Call of Duty League announced its plans to shift to an entirely online structure amid the coronavirus outbreak, as reported by Esports Insider. Despite this, Nevada punters will see their first Call of Duty betting opportunity as early as next weekend at the Chicago Huntsmen Home Series.

Licensees electing to provide both competitions’ moneylines must first declare their intent to the Enforcement Division via a notification of terms. Sportsbooks are required to display official rules on the event organizer or sanctioning body’s website prior to accepting wagers. The determination of odds will be set at the discretion of the bookmaker, with rules governing incoming wagers made publicly available.

Under conditions outlined by the Control Board, in-play betting options are prohibited, so the acceptance of wagers must cease prior the start of each match. In the case of WNBA draft, wagers which involve a specific player must cease 24 hours prior to the start of the first round.

All results must be based on a permissible source complying with Nevada regulatory guidelines and audit procedures. Additional markets deviating from the three approved wager types will require separate application and approval from the Control Board.

On Wednesday, Nevada regulators also approved wagers on 2020 League of Legends European Masters. Call of Duty and WNBA draft will now be placed on the betting menu alongside Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, League of Legends, Dota 2, iRacing and Overwatch; all of which were approved by Nevada regulators throughout the last several weeks.
