Pinnacle announced as official sponsor of esports league FLASHPOINT

Online sportsbook Pinnacle has been confirmed as the first official sponsor of FLASHPOINT, a new Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) esports league launching later this month.

Pinnacle CEO Paris Smith commented: "Pinnacle’s passion for esports over the last decade has driven us to always look at ways to improve the customer experience and continue to build our presence within the community. While we do a lot of work internally to ensure that happens, partnering with FLASHPOINT is also an integral part of achieving these goals."

Pinnacle has previously been the official Esports Championship Series (ECS) betting partner for CS: GO in March of last year, Inkedin reports.

Activations of the sportsbook are "designed to give CS:GO fans engaging interactivity during the season," with the deal-making its debut at the Pinnacle Open. CS: GO is widely considered to be an esport that supports betting sponsorships, hence the ability of the competition to offer live match-odds during broadcasts.

The new Pinnacle Open is made up of eight teams competing at the Los Angeles facilities of FACEIT, where the winners have the opportunity to earn a spot in FLASHPOINT.

Tournament match days will see programs provided by Pinnacle across both broadcasts and stadium facilities.

Kent Wakeford, Gen. G co-founder, one of the league’s participating teams, concluded: "We’re delighted to partner with Pinnacle who sees our vision for a sustainable and profitable CS:GO league built for the fans.
