Oneidas unveil YBR Casino & Sports Book expansion in New York

The Oneida Indian Nation unveiled a major $10 million expansion Tuesday at its Yellow Brick Road (YBR) Casino and Sports Book in Chittenango, New York.

The new 19,400-square-foot space features “The Lanes,” a six-lane luxury Brunswick Bowling center; two high-tech Topgolf Swing Suite bays; multiple pool tables; shuffleboard; sports betting stations; more than 65 additional slot machines; more than 20 LED screens; and an expansive full-service bar and dining area.

“Today marks the beginning of a new era of fun and excitement at YBR Casino and Sports Book, and for the entire region as well," Oneida Indian Nation Representative and Nation Enterprises CEO Ray Halbritter said, as reported by the Oneida Daily Dispatch.

YBR has seen massive changes and updates in the last year, undergoing a multi-phase 10 million dollar renovation that first began with the addition of The Lounge with Caesars Sports. Starting the renovations on a high note, The Lounge became the largest sportsbook in New York, offering year-round, multi-sport viewing and Vegas-style sports betting, according to their website.

The YBR also underwent a total game-floor renovation this past year and opened a new dining option called Burgers of Madison County, featuring “scratch-made homestyle specialties,” as stated on their website.

Exterior design updates are also projected to begin in the spring, in a style that “reflects the area’s industrial history with a contemporary flair,” Halbritter explained.

To commemorate the new expansion, the press conference ended with a ceremonial first roll on the new bowling lanes. In the evening, an official public grand opening event and fundraiser was held, with proceeds supporting two CenterState CEO initiatives: The Good Life CNY and Generation Next.

“This at a time when our region is experiencing an economic resurgence. This is just another critical example of the fact that Central New York is finding it’s footing in the economy and that good things are coming in the future,” CenterState CEO President Rob Simpson explained.
