Virginia city puts out request for casino proposals

The city of Danville is currently seeking proposals from operators interested in bringing a casino to the city.

Casino gambling is currently not allowed in Virginia, but the issue is expected to be heavily debated in the upcoming legislative session that begins in January, as lawmakers now appear more open to changing the law.

According to the Danville Register and Bee, which also reported Monday that four operators have already expressed interest, the city of Danville has put out a request for proposals from operators interested in bringing a casino to the city.
