After opening a temporary sportsbook in August, the casino has finally hosted a grand opening for its permanent sports betting facility, which features a bar, 50 televisions with a lounge area, four betting kiosks and quick access to the food court.

Isleta Resort & Casino new sports wagering venue opened to the public on Monday. "We’re excited to unveil the best sports betting facility in the state of New Mexico, complete with a full-service bar, exciting viewing area and the all-new Isleta Food Court next door," said Isleta Resort & Casino CEO Harold Baugus in a statement.

Developed in partnership with Nevada-based USBookmaking, the sportsbook takes wagers on local teams, Pro Baseball, Pro Football Regular Season Win Totals, English Premier League, UFC, WNBA, PGA Golf, NASCAR, and more.

The casino had already been offering sports betting at a temporary sportsbook which opened in August, while the permanent location was still under construction.

Glendale, Arizona-based Nez FCI and Albuquerque-based Buffalo Design were the project's general contractor and architect, respectively. Earlier this year, Business First reported Isleta added California-based Fatburger to its food court, which opened this summer, part of the casino's $40 million renovation that launched in 2017.

Isleta said the sportsbook and food court collectively had a price tag of about $4.5 million.

The Pueblo of Isleta generated a $102.26 million net win in 2018, ranked No. 2 on Business First's List of New Mexico Tribal Casinos.
