During the last meeting of the state’s Gaming Control Board, the company received a conditional sports wagering license, becoming the sixth online sports betting site available in Pennsylvania.

While a couple of months behind bigtime competitors like FanDuel Sportsbook PA and Fox Bet PA, DraftKings will enter the market with significant promotional fare as one of the two leading sports betting apps in the US.

At the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board’s October 30 meeting, DraftKings received its license to launch its sports betting app in PA.

They are expected to soft-launch early next week and go fully live later in the week, Crossing Broad reports.

DraftKings Sportsbook is currently available in New Jersey, Indiana, and West Virginia

The company has also recently become the first daily fantasy sports operator in Iowa. For weeks, the state commission had been in conversations with DraftKings and FanDuel, the U.S.' two primary providers of daily fantasy sports contests, about starting legalized games. Sports wagering has been legal in Iowa since mid-August, but the daily companies had not joined the multimillion-dollar fray because of some disagreements with the state's rules.
