The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) issued Monday the Gaming Devices (Exhibition of Gaming Devices) Ruling in relation to the exhibition of gaming devices in fairs, exhibitions and similar events relating to gaming. This ruling became effective as from 23 September.
Any person wishing to use gaming devices for exhibition purposes shall be required to submit the ‘Exhibition of Gaming Devices Application Form’ found in the downloads section on the MGA website and obtain the MGA’s approval. This application can be submitted by hand, by post or sent by e-mail, along with the relevant enclosures.
The application must include the number of gaming devices to be exhibited; a description of those gaming devices that shall be exhibited; information on the event in which they will be exhibited, including the nature thereof, location and time period throughout which they will be exhibited; a declaration attesting that the gaming devices shall be used solely for exhibition purposes and not be used in order to provide a gaming service and a description of the measures taken to ensure this.
