Pronet Gaming appoints former William Hill director Alex Leese as CEO

He joins Pronet following a three-year stint at William Hill, where he was Director of Emerging Markets, spearheading the operator’s foray into new jurisdictions.

Pronet Gaming, the online gambling platform and services provider that was recently sold to a UK private equity firm for an undisclosed sum, has appointed former William Hill director Alex Leese as Chief Executive Officer.

Leese will be responsible for leading Pronet Gaming into newly regulated markets around the world while also driving awareness about the business and its products and services. He joins Pronet Gaming following a three-year stint at William Hill where he was Director of Emerging Markets, spearheading the operator’s foray into new jurisdictions.

Prior to joining William Hill, Leese held various managerial roles at online gambling giants Sportingbet, GVC and Offside Gaming over a ten-year career in the iGaming sector. He will be based out of Pronet Gaming’s new commercial headquarters in London but will also travel to its other offices in Malta and Curacao on a regular basis.

Ioannis Skoulides, Pronet Gaming’s new Chairman of the Board, said: “We are thrilled that Alex has joined Pronet Gaming as Chief Executive Officer. Alex’s expertise in international gaming operations will be instrumental as we embark on expanding our global footprint whilst also optimising our product and service offering.”

The appointment of Leese as CEO comes shortly after Pronet Gaming was sold to a private equity group for an undisclosed sum.
