The Buenos Aires Province Institute of Lottery and Casinos (IPLyC) published on its website the Registry of License Applicants list for online gaming. This officially confirms seven groups or companies that will compete for one of the seven available licenses, which will be granted for one term, non-renewable, of 15 years. Each licensee will be able to run one single license.
The IPLyC had confirmed the interest of 18 international companies, which had chosen local partners, and four other Argentine firms that had applied independently. However, up to now, only seven submitted all the required documentation: Atlántica de Juegos is presented with Stars Interactive (PokerStars), ArgenBingo is joined by Will Hill (William Hill), Bingo Pilar partners up with PPB Counter Party Services (Paddy Power), BinBaires with Intralot, and Hotel Casino Tandil-Dynamo Tyche applies with Playtech. The Argentine Biyemas and Slots Machines decided to apply for a license without a foreign partner.
The Boldt Group will also compete in partnership with 888. As confirmed by Yogonet, it has time until next Monday, June 3, to submit the required documentation and complete the process.
