The laboratories accredited by the Lottery of the City of Buenos Aires have already tested and tested more than 300 components.
Since the announcement of new technical standards for electronic and/or electromechanical gaming machines by the Buenos Aires Lottery (LOTBA), the city has seen a revamp to their gaming offering. Among the units refurbished are slot machines, online monitoring and control systems and other associated devices such as card and kiosk shufflers for ticket redemption.
At Yogonet's consultation, LOTBA informed that International Gaming Technology (IGT), Bally Gaming Inc, Aristocrat Argentina PTY, Novomatic Argentina, Merkur, Octavian, Permaquim SA, Zitro and Atlantic Venture SA have already been registered. Konami Gaming Inc, Ainsworth, Goglobal, Casino Technology, Interblock, Sielcon, AGT Pty and Ed Roberts have also started their registration process.
The companies that succeed in this process will be able to market their products in the City of Buenos Aires.
Certification laboratories of international prestige - Gaming Laboratories International (GLI), BMM Testlabs, SIQ Ljubljana and Quinel - are registered or completing their respective procedures. This registry will enable them to issue the technical compliance certificates required by the new LOTBA regulations.
To date, the Buenos Aires Lottery has disclosed that more than a hundred units have been submitted for the registration process. During the first quarter, since the new technical standards were set into motion through the RESDI-2018-131-LOTBA Act, more than 300 units have been tested and refurbished.
It is estimated that the entire readjustment plan will end within the period originally established by the standard.
