Zweeler receives a UK operating license from the Gambling Commission
ZWEELER receives a UK operating license from the Gambling Commission (GC) only days before the start of its major annual event.
Football, Cycling, Tennis, Darts and Formula 1 are the main pillars on which Zweeler grew its continental European Fantasy Sports operation in the last decade.
"It is a sincere pleasure that we now officially can invite our large fan base in the United Kingdom to join us, only days before the start of our largest online event: the 105th Tour De France 2018," Zweeler CEO Henno Lubbers says, "but that is a sheer coincidence, a complex procedure like the registration for a country licensing isn’t a thing you can manage in the marketing agenda," Lubbers continues.
The remainder of this year Zweeler will invest significantly in creating a presence in the well-developed market for skilled gaming in the United Kingdom. Besides other sports, the main focus will be on Football, Cycling, Darts, tennis and the Formula 1.
Zweeler has been licensed to offer Fantasy Sports Games by the Malta Gaming Authority since the 28th of May 2011 (Class 3 license), and received a Controlled Skill Game License on the 17th of April 2017.
