The company has announced the appointment of Mark Juliano as the facility's new general manager effective July 9.

Mark Juliano, a 30-year veteran of the gaming industry, will begin his new position on July 9. He has held management posts at various casinos, including Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Trump Entertainment Resorts in Atlantic City and Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. He also served as president of the Sands Casino Resort in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

"I'm excited about the opportunity to join the talented del Lago team and become an active member in the community," Juliano said in a statement. "Del Lago is an incredible property nestled in a vibrant region, and I look forward to contributing to its growth and the growth of the community."

Juliano will fill the position that's been vacant since Jeff Babinski's departure in March. Babinski was del Lago's executive vice president and general manager and helped usher the project through the construction phase and its grand opening in February 2017.

Babinski left del Lago for the same position at Kansas Star Casino near Wichita.

As general manager, Juliano will oversee staff operations and "strategically manage the growth of the business," according to a news release. The hire is subject to regulatory approval.

Aaron Gomes, chief operating officer of del Lago Resort & Casino, called Juliano a "perfect fit" for the Seneca County casino.

"Mark's pedigree in the resort and casino industry, coupled with his role in economic development initiatives in and around New Jersey, brings the ideal mix of casino and resort operation and community experience," Gomes said. "He's perfectly positioned to support not only the continued growth of our property, but our region, as well."

Juliano will take over management of a casino with 1,960 slot machines, 85 tables and a 14-table poker room. The casino also has a 205-room hotel, three restaurants, a food court, spa and an entertainment venue.
