The event, held for its third consecutive year, entails inspections in gambling premises throughout Britain as well as training sessions and presentations by regulatory partners.

Throughout Britain, Commission colleagues will be supporting regulatory partners with joint inspections in gambling premises as well as providing training sessions and presentations.

Now in its third year, Licensing Week highlights the significant role licensing plays in protecting consumers in everyday life – whether that be catching a taxi, buying a beer, purchasing a dog or placing a bet.

Commission Executive Director Helen Venn said: “We’re very excited about taking part again this year as it’s a chance to shout out about the work licensing bodies do on a daily basis – work that keeps people safe and enables them to enjoy their social and leisure time with confidence.”

This year colleagues will be supporting Licensing Week with visits to Oxford, Bristol, Exeter, Stockport, Glasgow, Lewisham and many more.
