Coljuegos starts national slot inventory in Colombia

"Coljuegos began visiting gaming venues in the city of Bogotá, in which a review of each of the authorized electronic gaming machines (EGMs) will be conducted, in order to collect detailed information and a photographic record of them," he stated.

"62% of Coljuegos's revenue comes from casinos and bingo halls, and we are making progress in the professionalization of the sector," said Pérez Hidalgo.

According to Pérez Hidalgo, Coljuegos has registered 80,514 EGM, located in 2,391 venues nationwide; Of those EGMs, 19,002 are located in 504 establishments in Bogotá. During the first quarter of this year, these venues will be visited, in order to produce the inventory, with prior notice to the operator, as appropriate.

"Currently, 99% of the legal slot machines in the country provide daily information on prize payments and money inflows and outflows of each machine. With this inventory, we will be able to obtain and check the data contained in each machine's Online Connection System Provider, such as the serial number, the brand, model, type of machine, manufacturing date, country of origin and the types of games offered, among other essential information that will also make the industry more competitive, "explained Pérez Hidalgo.
