Kate Chambers, Clarion Gaming's Managing Director believes that the ribbon-cutting ceremony reflected the participation of the international community and is part of the appeal of ICE 2018: "The gaming industry is global and I love that this is reflected on the show floor, which will be comprised by exhibitors from 65 jurisdictions and visitors from 120 countries; and also by our official opening ceremony with gaming industry leaders from all corners of the world."
The 2017 edition was attended by 30,213 visitors from 151 different countries, and this year their organizers are expecting to break this record. The show will have over 500 exhibitors showcasing their products and services in 43,500sqm of net space, and it is worth mentioning that this space has been doubled since 2012 when the event took place in Earls Court.
"Once more, we have increased our marketing investments and I am proud to announce that the number of pre-registrations submitted last week has surpassed last year's figure by 4%," Chamber added-
In an exclusive interview with Yogonet, the Managing Director stated that one of the most tangible changes will be the addition of special zones for Payment Solutions and Consumer Protection.
"The ICE Payment Solutions Section, comprising 4,000sqm of space, will provide a focal point for international visitors wanting to meet and engage with the key innovators and thought leaders in the sector. The purpose of ICE is to showcase and reflect the dominant trends in gaming and payments is a case in point," she explained. "I am delighted that we have been able to respond to the needs of the industry in this way and I am confident the resource that we are putting behind the ICE Payment Solutions Section will be well received by visitors."
The Consumer Protection Zone will provide a focus for the social responsibility message and feature key organizations that are promoting social responsibility, as well as being a platform for presentations. The Zone is the latest in a series of social responsibility initiatives undertaken by Clarion Gaming, which includes the Annual World Regulatory Briefing on Responsible Gambling Innovation, held in London in the Autumn, and the Responsible Gaming Academy training, run by the Totally Gaming Academy.
In addition to the commercial exhibition, a series of events including seminars and discussion forums will also be held. Today, the following activities will take place:
