"While many of the awards are for UK based casinos (...), there are two very high profile categories which will be of particular interest to members: ‘Overall Casino Operator of the Year’- open to any operator in the UK and Europe; and ‘European Casino of the Year’, for independent and multiple European operators only,” says Vice Chairwoman Tracy Damestrani.

The European Casino Association (ECA) has announced its support for The British Casino Awards, which will be celebrated in association with the National Casino Forum on February 6th at the Hippodrome Casino London. Organised by Datateam Business Media and sponsored by Evolution Gaming, Interblock, Playtech and TCSJOHNHUXLEY, the publisher of leading industry title Casino International will be celebrating excellence in gaming and reward the people, products and services that enrich the industry.

The ECA represents licensed land-based casinos in Europe, with 27 members and over 70,000 direct employees supporting local economies across Europe. It has members from nearly all EU Member States, as well as non-EU countries. The main purpose and objective of the ECA is to address and promote issues related to casinos and the wider gambling industry, as well as promote the positive contribution of the industry.

Vice Chairwoman Tracy Damestrani says: “While many of the awards are for UK based casinos and the products licensed to operate within them, there are two very high profile categories which will be of particular interest to members: ‘Overall Casino Operator of the Year’- open to any operator in the UK and Europe; and ‘European Casino of the Year’, for independent and multiple European operators only.”

Tracy continues: “This is a fantastic opportunity for ECA members to showcase their products and services on the UK stage and in doing so, set the benchmark for excellence in the UK and Europe.”

Media Director Paul Ryder comments: “We are delighted to have the ECA onboard and look forward to seeing entries for ‘Overall Casino Operator of the Year; and ‘European Operator of the Year’ in due course. Members are also invited to nominate UK based operators and products licensed to operate in UK casinos in any of the other categories, using the same online form.”
