The penalties were the result of Board approvals at its public meeting of consent agreements between the PGCB's Office of Enforcement Counsel and the representative of both gaming facilities.

Valley Forge Convention Center Partners, L.P., operator of the Valley Forge Casino Resort in Montgomery County was fined $10,000 for a violation of the procedures for handling a self-excluded individual.

Presque Isle Downs, Inc., operator of Presque Isle Downs & Casino in Erie County was fined $10,000 for table games procedural violations.

The fine against Valley Forge Convention Center Partners, L.P. was the result of casino personnel allowing for the issuance of a casino access card at the Category 3 Resort Casino to an individual who was on the PGCB's Self-Excluded Persons List. That individual, in turn, played both slot machines and table games on the casino floor. Gaming facilities in the Commonwealth must refuse wagers from, and deny gaming privileges to individuals who are on the Self-Excluded List.

The fine approved by the Board against Presque Isle Downs, Inc. stemmed from an investigation by PGCB staff in which multiple procedural violations in the dealing of blackjack hands were discovered.
