Mystic Lake Casino Hotel becomes second largest in Minneapolis
The expansion is expected to be completed in time for the 2018 Super Bowl, which will take place Feb. 4 at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
Prior Lake Mayor Kirt Briggs is hopeful the hotel — and the game — will bring a lot of visitors to the area.
“I know there’s been a lot of excitement around the Super Bowl,” Briggs said. “It’s great to see the growth from the standpoint of visitors to Scott County. It provides visibility into our community.”
The new addition will be attached to the 586-room Mystic Lake Casino Hotel, and will include plenty of amenities designed for meetings and events: three large ballrooms, a number of small meeting rooms and an executive conference room. The hotel also promises a view of the nearby golf course: The Meadows at Mystic Lake.
