The Hong Kong-listed operator said net profit for the six months ended June 30 rose to USD 592M, up from USD 327M a year ago.

Total gaming revenue for the six months ended Jun. 30 was HK$26.4 billion - up 9% year over year. Non-gaming revenue also rose 9% to HK$1.4 billion.

The casino operator said it is doing its "best to resume normal operations as quickly as possible" after typhoon Hato wreaked havoc in Macau.

Galaxy’s gaming revenue from high rollers, which accounts for more than half of the group’s total gaming receipts, increased 5 percent in the first half of the year. Mass table games revenue grew 15 percent in the six months.
