According to figures released by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement this week, gambling revenue including iGaming in the state amounted to USD 267.8M compared to USD 275.2 collected last year. The figure represents a 2,7% decline.

“While there are fluctuations in monthly revenue, it is encouraging that Atlantic City’s current operators’ casino win figures are up nearly 10 percent for the year so far, illustrating that overall, there is continued stabilization in the industry,” said David Rebuck, director of the state Division of Gaming Enforcement, in a report pusblished by The Press of Atlantic City.

If the former Trump Taj Mahal casino is taking out of the equation, the city's seven remaining gaming facilities saw their overall gambling revenues, including internet gambling, increase by 3.9 percent.

The remaining casinos took in USD 267.8M last month compared with USD 257.7M in July 2016.

“It is clear that business is building for the seven operating casinos, and I am optimistic it will continue to grow in the months ahead,” said Matthew B. Levinson, chairman and CEO of the state Casino Control Commission
